Please read this before you sign. By ticking the consent box you agree to it.
- You agree to sign electronically. You agree to receive and sign this document electronically. When you click "Sign", you intend to sign, just as with a handwritten signature.
- Type of signature. signround creates a simple electronic signature (eIDAS Regulation Art. 3(10) and Art. 25(1); US ESIGN Act, 15 U.S.C. § 7001; UETA). It is not an advanced (AES) or qualified (QES) electronic signature. Tamper protection by signround: When everyone has signed, signround adds its own digital certificate signature to the final PDF, with a time stamp from an external time-stamping service (which receives only a fingerprint of the PDF). This shows whether the PDF was changed afterwards. It is signround's technical protection, not your signature. It is not a qualified electronic seal or signature, and it does not make your signature advanced or qualified. You can check a PDF at signround.com/verify.
- Scope. Your consent covers this document and the messages about it.
- Who you deal with. Your contract partner is the sender, not signround. signround only provides the software.
- What we record. Your name, email address, the time of each step, your IP address, browser details, your signature image and a fingerprint (SHA-256 hash) of the document. This record (audit trail) is added to the final PDF, which all parties receive.
- Paper instead. You can ask the sender for a paper copy or to sign on paper. The sender decides whether a fee applies.
- Withdrawing consent. Before you sign, you can stop at any time or click "Decline". To withdraw your consent to electronic dealings or to update your email address, contact the sender. Withdrawal does not undo signatures already given.
- Copies. When everyone has signed, the completed PDF is emailed to all parties. Please download and keep it.
- What you need. A current web browser, a PDF viewer and an email address you can access. By ticking the box, you confirm that you can open this page and the PDF.
- Not for every document. Some documents need a handwritten signature, a qualified electronic signature or a notary. Examples: wills, property sales, guarantees given by private persons, or ending an employment contract in Germany; in the US, wills, family law matters and certain notices. The sender must check this. signround gives no legal advice.
